Colour Block Shock

If you're anything like myself, you will certainly share appreciation of the refreshing change of season and lovely warm weather that we have been experiencing of late!

This new bout of sunshine ushers in one of the Spring/Summer '11 Season's new trends perfectly: Colour Blocking!

Now, you would've noted that colour blocking can be seen literally everywhere!
Flashes of exuberant, infused colour have appeared on the catwalks right through to the lower end retail stores!Corals, cobalt blues, tangerines, reds, hot pink, canary yellows, vibrant greens etc. And it is set to trickle into the Autumn/Winter '11/12 season too!

Rapidly vanished are the days when teaming one particular bold colour with another would be acutely frowned upon! With this season's Colour Block trend - anything goes, in more ways than one! All sorts of hues are being pitted together!
A trend within this trend that appears to be gathering momentum, especially amongst the celebs, is pairing two colours in particular: red and pink. Now who would've thought?!
I am yet to muster up my enthusiasm for this particular colour combo, however.

Hmmmm....

H&M, Zara, Topshop, Miss Selfridges, to name a few are churning out some very ample on-trend offerings hailing the Colourful Craze.

I, for one, will most definitely be dipping into this trend this season, as I happen to think that it is a rather bright idea!

Style Tip: As an emerging Stylist, I would like to share a nugget but also warn you, though - not every vibrant colour suits every complexion. So do be sure to invest in a colour that compliments your skin tone as opposed to one that overwhelms you and everyone else within your vicinity!

Happy colour blocking!
